crap cars? What does that have to do with running?

Crap Car......
Crap run one...............
Crap run two...............
We have all been there....plans for a great race, a great training run, but then it happens, it falls apart and you wish you never even hit the road that day. It typically starts pretty early on, but you forge ahead believing it is just a bad start and things will get better soon. They don't..................This is a Charlie Brown moment( I am picturing the kite in the tree......argh, why me.)  The legs are lead, the lungs seem full of Co2 and you might as well be on the moon where no oxygen exist. That little hill ahead of you looks suspiciously like Mt. Everest....a mirage perhaps? Your legs are forced to a shuffle like a Blue footed Boobie's (look it up).  You review in your mind your training week and you convince yourself you did it right. ............

Now what, do I walk? Nah, I can't do that, someone might see me.Do I try to find more downhills, heck what goes down gotta go back up eventually. I  possibly share this run on Garmin, Facebook or Strava! ?How can I explain this run, what went wrong?

You just had a C.R.A.P. run

C. Can't motivate yourself correctly.
R. Rest days neglected.
A. Aerobic base not built correctly.
P. Pacing disaster.

Don't be a Gremlin............. Have a plan, accept bad days just might happen. Get over it and move on!

Dr. Bangle is a full time small animal veterinarian in Athens, Georgia.  His approach to  being a running coach is scientific. The science is the proof!  Implementing workouts using proven science seems the most logical approach--look at runners such as Galen Rupp, and Ryan Hall and Mo Farah.  They all train precisely and scientifically. Being a running coach is not work; it is pure joy to work with runners and watch them improve!
