Want to qualify for Boston?

The ultimate marathon for marathon runners is unarguably the Boston Marathon. This marathon has achieved the pinnacle event for many runners as they know how incredibly difficult it is to qualify for this race.  Of all the marathoners whom have run marathons only 10-12% of you will ever achieve a Boston Qualifying time.  This is a fact.  

Marathon training is a different beast all together; it becomes you! For about one year you will train, eat, sleep, rest, go to work tired, put demands on your body that will make it tight rope to stay in one piece to even get a qualifying time.  You will find yourself running at unusual hours, in all kinds of weather (heat, thunderstorms, monsoon like rains frigid icy days), while at the same time placing demands on your family time for competition with your running time. Your diet will change from 3000 to 6000 calories a day and your immune system will be taxed to the limit.  You will be afraid of anyone with a sneeze closer to race time, and just a niggling of pain will spell doom to you- at least in your mind anyway! 

As your running coach, I will help you develop a serious plan for any marathon, and given your history, desire, physical well being and drive I will help you decide if a BQ time is attainable
